Daily Life at Sanford House
Dedicated Personal Touch
At Sanford House Nursing Home, our care standards are second to none. Our aim is to get to know our residents and their preferences and needs to ensure they have the most comfortable and welcome stay. We love learning as much as we can about the people we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to them. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, to how they like their tea and everything in between.
We provide as much independence as possible at Sanford House, giving residents the choice as to how to run the home. If they prefer dinner in front of the TV, or even dusting their own room, we’ll make it happen. Just as putting their own stamp on their bedroom, we’ll help them to personalise it with the things they love.
We consistently apply infection control procedures and services that meet or exceed the requirements and expectations of our customers.

Meet the Manager
Find out more about our Home Manager at Sanford House Nursing Home, Maebh McCormack-Hall.Here’s a little bit more about the home in her own words:
As the Home Manager I believe our residents are our priority, and we are privileged that they choose to be in our homes and care and trust us to support their needs.
I completed my Nursing Degree in Trinity College Dublin in 2010 and moved to the UK in 2011. Since becoming a Registered Nurse, I have worked in a variety of roles within the care sector for over 13 years. I have worked with adults with learning disabilities and mental health problems in secure services for over 4 years and then moved on to Dementia and Nursing Home Care. I progressed to a clinical lead role and then onto the role of Home Manager. I also supported homes across Norfolk and Suffolk as an Operations Manager.Working across a variety of settings has supported my clinical and management skills development.
I operate an open-door policy and am approachable, not only to my team, but to the residents and their relatives too. I encourage person centred care and reflect this in how the staff team works and delivers their care.
I am passionate about putting residents first as we are given the opportunity to work in their homes and care for and support their needs.I really enjoy training and development and mentoring my team members grow and develop in their roles at the home and within the company.
In my spare time I love to spend time with family and friends. I enjoy reading, running, and watching rugby. I also enjoy travelling when possible and visiting different cities and countries and experiencing different cultures.

The length of time people spend in a care home varies according to their needs and preferences. All of our care homes offer permanent care to suit your needs or perhaps a respite stay might be required during a period of convalescence after being in hospital. Day Care is also available at many homes to ensure care can continue when a regular carer is unavailable. Please contact Sanford House to discuss options for the length of a stay.
