102nd Birthday Celebrations at Broadbridge Park Care Home
The residents and team at Broadbridge Park Care Home celebrated the 102nd birthday of resident Theresa in style.
Theresa who has been a resident at the home for nearly three years was born in Sittingbourne and resided there until she joined the RAF. She then had various roles through her life including working as a secretary in London for an insurance company. In her spare time she also had a love for making wedding and birthday cakes which is why she loves the baking club at the home.
She loves spending time with her family, she has one son, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren and she likes to get involved in a range of activities at the home. Enjoying flower arranging and card making where she gets to make her own creations as well as visiting the salon at the home to get her hair and nails done. She also likes to take a walk in the landscaped gardens at the home.
To celebrate her big day in style the home put on a party so everyone could celebrate with her, Theresa made a request and that was that she would love to have the local opera singer Yuri back to the home to join in the big day which was arranged. The songs were so well received and the performance proved very popular with the other residents and visitors.
When asked what her secret was to a long life she said "A daily glass of Sherry!!" - and who are we to disagree - cheers Theresa!
Birthday wishes from everyone at the home and it was lovely to be a part of your very special day.
