Residents from Mill House enjoy the Lavender Fields
29th July 2016
Not far away from Mill House in Chipping Campden, there are beautiful lavender fields in the village of Snowshill, where locally grown lavender after the harvest is transferred into lavender bags, body creams, lotions added to cakes and ice creams. It is very well known place in Cotswolds and is visited every year by hundreds of tourists from around the world and on Thursday 21st July, Dominika our Activity Coordinator and Roger, Activity Assistant took our residents to this magical place. It was so exciting to drive the mini bus and watch the countryside through the bus windows as we went on our trip. There was an incredible smell of lavender all over the place and so many different kinds of lavender and shades were seen all over the fields where we took a short walk. The weather was warm and sunny so perfect for a trip out and to enjoy the fresh air. Everyone had a cup of tea or coffee and lavender shortbread cake!At the end of the day, the ladies Kath and Audrey went to the shop to get lavender soaps, body lotions and lavender bags and room air fresheners. Even after we came back we could still smell the lavender all around Mill House!
