CARING HOMES GROUPS’ ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS
20 YEARS ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS
JOANNA LUMLEY OBE, GALA AWARDS NIGHT!
Introducing the Faces of Caring Homes Group
On March 28th 2014, Caring Homes Group held it’s “20 Years of Great Care and Support Awards”.
The prestigious awards event was hosted by Joanna Lumley OBE who co-presented each of the coveted “20 Years of Great Care and Support” Operations and Group Awards to the respective winners alongside a representative from one of our sponsors.
The evening was opened by Founding Director and Chief Executive Officer, Paul Jeffery who shared his pride and passion for the organisation which was celebrating its’ 20th anniversary that evening, before introducing Joanna Lumley OBE to announce the Operations and Group Awards.
Operations Awards
Nominations for these prestigious awards were invited from all divisions and departments across the business weeks before the “20 Years of Great Care and Support” Celebrations began. Finalists were selected and invited to attend a judging day at the Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, Mayfair, London where each of them had the opportunity to explain to a judging panel what their job entailed, what it meant to them and what were their motivating drivers to carry out their role to such an exceptional standard.
Once the judging of each awards category was completed the judges deliberated and selected a winner, their name being placed into a gold envelope and kept secret until the night of the gala awards.
Group Awards
Nominees for these awards were selected by the Senior Management Team in a formal meeting that took place on 12th February 2014. The Team were able to personally nominate individuals who they recognised as having made a significant contribution to the business, improving company performance through positive personal impact. The awards were presented immediately after the Operations Awards.
Paul Jeffery & Helena Jeffery’s Comments Regarding the Judging Process, the Finalists and Winners
Paul Jeffery remarked during the evening of the awards on how challenging the judging process had been, in particular he highlighted that in some cases there were disputes amongst the judging panel over the final winner; A point he wanted to make given the standard of candidates that he had met during the process.
Helena Jeffery remarked on the outstanding contribution made by all finalists that she had had the privilege of interviewing, that it was near impossible to choose a winner, stating that in her mind everyone she met was a worthy winner!
We had to choose winners to each of the awards.
