A ‘rosy’ day for Brooklyn House residents
Not everyone can boast about having one of the world’s leaders in cultivating classic roses on their doorstep, so the staff and residents of Brooklyn House made the most of their location - spending the day at Peter Beales Roses in Attleborough in Norfolk.
Peter Beales Roses have won over 15 gold medals at prestigious shows including the Chelsea Flower show and have three acres of land filled with many of their winning varieties.
Residents Jean Flint, Kenneth Linstead and Stanley and Daphne Green thoroughly enjoyed walking around the centre, admiring all of the summer blooms before heading to the coffee shop for tea and scones. Daphne Green told us:
‘Myself and Stan have had a lovely visit, it was especially nice as Stan always kept a beautiful garden at home.’
The day was made extra special simply because of the glorious weather and everyone is looking forward to a return visit in the near future.
Brooklyn House is a modern, purpose-built care home in Norfolk with nursing for up to 40 elderly people. Following a recent investment programme, the home benefits from the most up-to-date facilities and décor.
