Caring for a loved one can be all-consuming, leaving little time for the rigours of Christmas and New Year planning and hosting. If you need to take some time away from your everyday caring role at any point in the run up to, or during, the festive period, respite care at one of our homes can be a reassuring option. We also provide convalescent care, to help people who need to recuperate after a hospital stay and to support them until they are well enough to return home.
We are dedicated to providing dignified and respectful nursing, dementia and residential care. Our care is given with warmth and respect, by professionals who take time to get to know residents and help them enjoy their stay with us as fully as they can. Many of our short stay residents return regularly, appreciating the well-managed and friendly home from home atmosphere.
Fabulous Festive Fun
Our dedicated wellbeing and activities team will be on hand throughout the festive period with a jam-packed programme of activities to choose from, perfect for entertaining you and your family. Our festive programme runs for several weeks and includes favourites such as Christmas jumper day, making decorations and cards, pudding stirring, carol singing, a panto trip, party games and quizzes plus a visit from a local entertainer - as well as our traditional Christmas lunch with all the trimmings.
From wintry walks in the gardens and festive activities to homemade mince pies and mulled wine, we’ve got everything needed for a stress-free break.
It wouldn't be Christmas without...
Sherry and mince pies, crackers and jokes, we’ve got it covered. Residents can enjoy good company in the dining room beautifully set for dinner and adorned with holly and tinsel whilst they savour the aroma of turkey and all the trimmings. Some residents choose to go out for Christmas lunch and others invite their families to join us.
Twixmas Stay
For a little downtime between Christmas and New Year, a short stay is a great option to truly unwind. Residents choose a well-appointed bedroom, relax in the comfort of our Lounges, or take in the fresh air by exploring our accessible grounds. We are on hand to cater for every need, making sure our residents never have to lift a finger. Of course, if baking mince pies and setting the table for lunch is important, we always make our residents wishes a reality.
Ringing in the New Year
Enjoy a delicious dinner with good company and perhaps a game of cards and a night cap! We start 2023 with a delicious breakfast and a New Year’s Day feast.
