A visit from a furry friend at Parris Lawn
This January, the residents at Parris Lawn were surprised with a visit from a furry friend.
Rebecca at ‘Pet Pals Therapy’ popped into the care home to bring some smiles, warmth and snuggles to what can sometimes be a dull month. Pet therapy can be great for elderly people, as the animals can produce a calming effect, which helps to relieve any anxiety or upset they may be feeling.
Carole, the head of wellbeing at Parris Lawn, really pulled a rabbit out of a hat with this idea and Rebecca and her rabbit did not disappoint.
The aim is to spread happiness to the residents and to see the smiles on their faces is something we are always grateful for and love to see.
