Annual Summer Fete at Laverstock Care Centre
9th August 2017
Laverstock Care Centre recently held our annual Summer Fete on Saturday 5th August and invited residents, relatives, friends and members of our local community to come and join us for an afternoon of fun, activities and fabulous food.We had lots of activities for our guests including a refreshment stand, a raffle, tombola and our sweet shop was open. We also had a couple of stalls of items for sale open as well.Residents throughout the home joined us with numerous family members and friends to take part and enjoy some tea and cake in the sunshine. As well as being a great social occasion, we also used our fete as an opportunity to raise money for our residents fund and the Alzheimer’s Society.
Helen Pessell, Home Manager said,“At Laverstock Care Centre, we like to get involved with our local community and it was a great opportunity to hold our annual fete for our residents and our guests whilst also supporting a great cause. Alzheimer's Society is a community of supporters, volunteers and staff passionate about making a difference to people’s lives and is a charity very close to our hearts here, as some of our residents are living with dementia.”"We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came and supported us. It was such a fun day for everyone and great to see everyone enjoying themselves."
