Autumn Display at Laverstock Care Centre
9th October 2017
Laverstock Care Centre in Salisbury is enjoying its new autumn display, lovingly created by one of our residents Norman, who has gotten in the autumn spirit here at our home.Norman has made a wall art piece focusing on the changing colours and animals we come to see in this season. With the help of one of our carers, Norman set to the task with lots of enthusiasm and directed the creation of this stunning artwork. Norman was very particular in how he wanted the wall to look and was very pleased with the end result which is being enjoyed by our residents, guests and team.We all agree it looks amazing and it’s a real conversation piece. Located in our Garden View’s dining area, it was finally completed last Monday amid much anticipation as we had watched the masterpiece grow and develop.Norman loves taking part in decorating our home with themed pieces and tends to take part in the big artistic projects such as last year’s Christmas showstopper. He has a real passion for our garden here and so the theme of the changes of the seasons was a real enjoyment for him.
Karen Paddington, SHCA commented,Norman loves being involved in the day to day activities in our home with our care team and also having the opportunity to showcase his creative side. It was a really enjoyable activity for a Sunday afternoon and we're looking forward to his next creation’
