Beautiful vegetables at Broadbridge Park
The residents at Broadbridge Park Care Home have been busy with their gardening club and just look at the wonderful vegetables they have grown from seeds, these carrots, beans and tomatoes which they can't wait to taste.
It may not be an allotment but as National Allotment Week was celebrated last week these definitely mark the week well which raises awareness of the benefits of people growing their own vegetables to help to live healthier lifestyles. All these vegetables picked this weekend were grown in the raised beds at the home which makes gardening accessible for all our residents.
It is clear the gardening club at the home has been a great success and growing flowers, fruit and vegetables is something that many people will have enjoyed over the years and for our residents this gives them an opportunity to exercise their green fingers. It also helps them to maintain independence and is perfect for getting some fresh air while sharing stimulating conversations with other residents while they work together.
Now the residents can't wait to see what the Head Chef will make with these delicious ingredients.
