Benson House Care Home supports local charity with donation
Benson House Care Home is supporting the Oxfordshire Mind Charity with a donation of £500. Benson House received the cheque as part of their shortlisting for the ‘Best Exterior Space’ in the prestigious Pinders 2022 Healthcare Design Awards.
Each shortlisted entry has an equal sum of money to donate to the charity of their choice, and Benson House chose to donate theirs to the Oxfordshire Mind Charity, an organisation who make sure anyone with a mental health issue has somewhere to turn for advice and support.
Cathy Deocadez, Benson House Home Manager said, “We felt strongly about donating the money to an organisation which supports those in the local community.”
Julia Molloy, Community & Corporate Relations Assistant at Oxfordshire Mind Charity was overjoyed to receive the donation and said, “We are incredibly grateful to Benson House Care Home for choosing to donate their prize to Oxfordshire Mind. This donation will go towards the vital services we provide in supporting people with their mental health, whether this be through our information service, housing, benefits support, talking therapies or physical activities. Donations like these help us to continue the important work we do in supporting adults, children and young people throughout Oxfordshire who need access to our support and services.”
Benson House Care Home is one of the newest additions to the Caring Homes family, which now comprises of 70 homes nationwide and is welcoming new residents and their families safely.
