Benson House is now open

Benson House Care Home is now open and safely welcoming new residents. The team recently held an open day event and welcomed care seekers in to view their new purpose built care home, its luxurious fit out and beautiful garden. It was slightly different due to current circumstances but the day went ahead in a safe and socially distanced way.

Benson House, the latest new development by Caring Homes, has a perfect location in Benson near Wallingford, close to the River Thames with visitor parking and access to public transport. It’s stylishly furnished with a warm family atmosphere.

Home Manager Marilyn Kimayong explained, “We were delighted to meet enquirers to talk about Benson House and the feedback has been very positive. The event was run by appointment only and we left time between showrounds to observe social distancing.”

Several team members got involved in welcoming guests and sharing their expertise and knowledge, demonstrating their passion and commitment to providing a focus on person-centred care. Knowing that high quality food is as important as the care for many, the chef was delighted to showcase the hospitality team’s skills.

The home has welcomed their first permanent resident this week with more to follow in a home that offers first class facilities and accommodation, including acoustic monitoring throughout, digital care monitoring and a nurse call system, allowing residents to feel welcome, relaxed and secure whilst also enjoying an active and independent lifestyle.
