Broadbridge Park residents and staff celebrate Caribbean Day
The first Monday of July, each year, marks the celebration of Caribbean Community day, otherwise known as ‘Caricom’ day. Broadbridge Park residents and staff celebrated this day, to recognise the adoption of the 1973 treaty, that was the birthplace of the Caribbean community.
Caricom is a grouping of twenty countries and approximately sixteen million citizens. The community is multi-lingual and stretches from The Bahamas in the north, to Suriname and Guyana in South America.
Broadbridge Park Bistro was transformed into an island paradise, with pimms, punch and afternoon snacks laid out for all staff and residents to enjoy and join in the Caribbean party here.
