Brooklyn celebrates 99 years for Olive

Brooklyn House in Attleborough celebrated a very special birthday this week.Beloved resident Olive reached a milestone 99th birthday. When asked how she felt she said, “It’s just another one, but next year will be special".To celebrate Olive's big day an afternoon tea was prepared by staff, and she was surrounded by her family and friends. She received lots of surprises including balloons, flowers and cupcakes baked by the Chef at Brooklyn House.Olive has lived in Norfolk all her life, she spent the afternoon reminiscing over tea and cake with family and friends about her first job when she was just 14. "I went into service.” she commented. “Father arranged it, you didn’t get a say back then, how things have changed.
