Brooklyn House Prepare for Easter

4th March 2016
Residents at Brooklyn House have been busy making Easter Bonnets this week as part of their regular Craft Club. They all had a great time picking a hat and then decorating it with the various Easter inspired apparel we had bought into the home, from baby chicks and rabbits to small pom poms and feathers. They used glue, scissors and paint to finish off their creations.Resident Chris pictured, said 'I had great fun making my Easter bonnet and hopefully I'll win 1st prize!' in the annual Brooklyn House Easter Bonnet Parade. The craft club at Brooklyn is an important part of our life. Regular activity is extremely beneficial to our residents, especially those who have the beginning of dementia or concentration issues. These types of activities help keep them involved in the world around them and mixing with the other residents. It also provides them with daily activities and exercises their brains.
