Brooklyn welcome back Clearer Productions
5th September 2016
Brooklyn House in Attleborough, Norwich, received a welcome return from Clearer Productions this week.Nikki and Neil are both West End performers and at this visit they put on the show 'It’s Nice To Go Travelling'. All the songs had one thing in common, the way we travel about, which brought back lots of nice memories for everyone, from the cars they drove, walking and bikes to more unusual ways of travelling.Residents, relatives and staff enjoyed singing along and joining in with some actions, getting their arms and legs moving. As you get older, it becomes even more important to remain active if you want to stay healthy and maintain your independence. Many medical conditions are improved with exercise, including Alzheimer's and dementia, heart disease, diabetes, colon cancer, high blood pressure and obesity. These activities are a great way to keep our residents active without them really knowing they are doing it, improving health and mental well being.Everyone had a wonderful time and we look forward to their next visit at Christmas.
Brooklyn House provides specialist nursing care in a purpose built environment for up to 38 elderly people.
