Burns Night at Homefield Grange
The residents and team at Homefield Grange Care Home enjoyed celebrating Burns Night with a range of activities all having a Scottish theme to mark the day, which is a Scottish tradition held on the 25th January to celebrate the poet Robert Burns.
For lunch the residents had Scottish salmon for starters followed by haggis made by the Head Chef with neeps and tatties and whisky gravy. Prior to the lunch the residents had made Scottish placemats and added decorations to a memory tree dedicated to Burns.
Everyone wore Scottish hats and tried some Scottish whisky and after lunch there were a range of treats including Scottish shortbread and fudge which to enjoy whilst they listened to some music performed on bag pipes.
