Burns Night Celebrations at Horsell Lodge
The residents and team at Horsell Lodge Care Home enjoyed celebrating Burns Night with a range of activities all having a Scottish theme to mark the day, which is a Scottish tradition held on the 25th January to celebrate the poet Robert Burns.
The hospitality team at the home served up some traditional Scottish dishes including haggis, tatties and neeps. The dining room had been decorated for the occasion with tartan tablecloths to mark the day and following the meal the residents and team read poems, sung songs and were even joined by a Scottish pianist to make the day complete. It is fair to say everyone had a great time and got into the spirit of the occasion.
