Cakes and Flowers at Homefield Grange
The chef and residents at Homefield Grange Care Home have been getting creative this week. The chef at the home has been preparing some new cake designs and recipes ready to welcome back visitors and events back into the home. His latest creation looked stunning, the residents and team enjoyed tasting them and as he said "when you cannot choose between cake or a biscuit, why not have both!". The next creations will be spooky delights for our Halloween celebrations.
Meanwhile the home also got a range of beautiful flowers donated to them and the residents put them to good use by taking part in a flower arranging workshop, one of the residents enjoyed it so much they have requested that this becomes a regular activity at the home. The centre pieces that were created looked wonderful around the home. Flower arranging is a great activity for our residents to express their creative side whilst also keeping their hands busy, getting involved in crafts can also be a new and soothing outlet as well.
