Blenheim Court Care Home, in Liss. Rated Good by CQC
Home Manager Paula and her team at Blenheim Court Care Home, in Liss, Hampshire are delighted to have recently received a ‘Good’ rating from care regulators, The Care Quality Commission (CQC), following a planned inspection in March.
Acquired in August 2018 by Caring Homes, Blenheim Court, continues to offer a full range of nursing, dementia and residential care for up to 60 elderly residents, has been described as the most marvelous place.
Colleagues are delighted that during their visit, Inspectors observed that residents live in a caring, well-led, responsive and effective environment, cared for by sufficient numbers of well-trained staff who are kind and considerate in their approach to care and support and who know residents well. Inspectors commented that, “People told us they were happy with the service they receive, adding that they felt safe and the staff were kind, caring and respectful,” and continued, “No one had any complaints and felt the management team were open, approachable and supportive.”
Feedback the CQC received about the management team demonstrated they listened and took any feedback as an opportunity to make improvements for people.
As part of the rigerous inspection process Inspectors spoke to seven people, four visitors, 11 members of staff, the registered manager and regional manager. They looked at the care records for five people and the management of medicines in the home, also reviewing recruitment records, sampled supervisions and training records. They also looked at records relating to the quality and management of the service. Everyone inspectors spoke with told them they felt safe living at Blenheim Court.
