Celebrating African Culture at The Orchard

Yesterday we celebrated African Culture at The Orchard Nursing Home in St Albans. We had a lovely afternoon spent in the garden which had been decorated with the different African flags. Everyone had to guess which flag belonged to which Country.

Whilst our brains whirred we enjoyed some African snacks; crisps, wine and drink. We also tried African FuFu, which wasn’t to everyone’s taste, but they all enjoyed tasting it as it was different.

After the games the care team entertained with some amazing dancing, even a few residents got involved. It was a lovely afternoon for our residents and it was all topped off with an amazing Moroccan cake made by our wonderful Hasna, which was delicious!
