Celebration of our Caring Superstars at Sanford house
This year Caring Homes launched its inaugural Caring Superstars Awards. The aim of the awards is to highlight exceptional people working for the company that others wanted to thank and recognise.
Launched on National Thank You Day in July, we welcomed nominations across 12 categories from colleagues, residents, relatives and friends. There was a category winner from each of the three divisions within Caring Homes and then one overall Caring Homes Superstar from each category.
Caring Homes Managing Director Tracey Fletcher-Ray said, “These awards show appreciation of our excellent colleagues with residents, relatives, team members and friends all invited to nominate someone they thought exceptional.
“We were overwhelmed with the number of nominations, a total of more than 600 from across our portfolio of 70 homes showing the high calibre of colleagues we have working with us and how highly they are all valued”.
The winners from across 12 categories were taken for a celebratory luxury afternoon tea at London’s Landmark Hotel on Friday 26th November, where they were presented with their awards.
The winner for the Superstar Home Manager was Joan Auton from Sanford House in East Dereham. She demonstrated a high level of expertise in managing all aspects of the home to the benefit of residents, colleagues and the local community. “Joan has shown exemplary leadership and commitment to Sanford House and Caring Homes during the pandemic”.
She moved to live in the home to enable her to do her job safely and as effectively as possible. Joan is one of those managers who quite simply get the job done.
These awards marked the coming together and celebration of the very best care and support provided by outstanding people. It provided the opportunity to think about the thousands of colleagues making a significant contribution to caring and supporting people across all of our homes.
