Cheese and Wine Tasting at Laverstock
19th February 2016
Residents at Laverstock Care Centre recently took part in a musical afternoon whilst enjoying a glass of wine with a selection of cheese and crackers.Barry Pentelow (Activities Coordinator) played many memorable tunes on the piano from the 1920’s through to the 1960’s which encouraged everyone to sing along and have a good time.Residents remarks included “What a wonderful afternoon, I’ve really enjoyed myself”, along with “That took me back to my younger days” and lots of “Thank you that was really good and just what we needed”.The party spirit helped residents relax and interact socially with each other both during and after the event.Music is always a popular activity at Laverstock and the addition of cheese and wine as an accompaniment made it just that little bit better. It was a successful activity, everybody enjoyed it and we will definitely have to do it again.
