Cheese & Wine evening at Guysfield
An informal evening for relatives and friends of Guysfield care home to meet the new home manager, the deputy and new administrator.
Guests were treated to a selection of wine and cheeses on the cheeseboard.
Liz Parker the new home manager shared her experiences of caring for those with dementia and more personal experiences.
Conversation centred on the homes history and the history of Letchworth as the first garden city.Director of local business VTM spoke of the iconic buildings in Letchworth, Irvin House (famous for manufacturing parachutes for global use) and Spirella who created lingerie for such people as Marilyn Monroe.Debbie Morris (activities lead) joined the gathering and explained her role .Debbie was recently been voted Oomph practitioner of the month for Hertfordshire.
