Coffee Corner at Laverstock
26th January 2018
At Laverstock Care Centre in Salisbury we have recently opened a new 'Coffee Corner' in our reception area at our home in Salisbury. We have created another social space where residents, relatives and guests can enjoy a good old chat over a cup of tea or coffee (and of course don’t forget the cake and biscuits) and just enjoy some refreshments whilst catching up with the latest news and goings on at our home. With the help of our Dignity Team we are hoping to increase the popularity of the Coffee Corner as a new place to visit and are encouraging residents to pop down and have a coffee and a chat, catch up with their relatives and old friends and perhaps also meet new friends too as guests are always welcome to join us.This afternoon Julie brought Grace, one of our residents down and they had a lovely time chatting about Grace’s interests and hobbies and what she likes best about the home.
Grace said
"It was really nice and I enjoyed having a laugh with Julie."
Throughout the ground floor everyone was picking up the infectious laughter of Grace and Julie as they chatted. It created a lovely warm and welcoming environment in reception and we can already tell our Coffee Corner is proving to be a popular gathering place. Why not come and join us for as coffee and a chat? We warmly welcome members of our local community to visit us and come and experience some of the great events and activities we hold here at our home. You could also catch up with old friends and perhaps meet some new ones too…Laverstock Care Centre is a modern purpose built care home situated in the medieval cathedral City of Salisbury offering residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 80 elderly residents. To find out more about Laverstock Care Centre and life at the home, please contact us on 0808 223 5520 or email [email protected].Pictured are Julie, Home Administrator and our Dignity Champions Lead along with one of our residents Grace enjoying a lovely cup of coffee.
