Cotman House Local Community Events
At Cotman House Care Home we understand the importance of supporting residents to maintain links with their local communities. That’s why we play an active part in our community. We hold events throughout the year, and work closely with groups, schools and charities to ensure residents continue to enjoy a rewarding social life, and the chance to make new friends and try new things.
Our aim is to put a focus on the community. We want to boost morale and encourage neighbourly togetherness as well as to improve health and wellbeing in the district. Below are details of our upcoming events:

The BASIC Life Charity Shoebox Appeal
Date: 14th November - 5th December
Cotman House Care Home, will be taking part in a Shoebox Appeal organised by The BASIC Life Charity. For over ten years BASIC have been providing Christmas sacks of seasonal items to lonely or vulnerable people in Felixstowe.
This has been extended to include gathering an assortment of items for local children and older people residing in our local care homes and passing on some seasonal community goodwill in a shoebox!
We’re asking for people to fill a shoe box and then mark on the outside the appropriate age group, sex (if applicable) of the recipient. So it might say ‘Girl 6 to 8 years’ or ‘Older lady’ for example.
