December fundraising at The Orchard
Throughout December, The Orchard Nursing home gave back to the community by fundraising for a local homeless charity- St Albans Action for Homeless. This group is about a community coming together to help homeless friends in the best way possible.
Staff and residents at The Orchard raised money with numerous activities such as Christmas pyjama day, dress up as an elf day and staff PJ day. A total of £371 was raised throughout December and Sharon, who runs the charity was recently able to come and collect the funds.
The Orchard pride themselves on getting involved with charities and is taking part in a Walk-A-Thon throughout February, in aid of The Purple Angel Dementia Awareness Charity, please contact the home to find out how you can get involved and we will update you with the total sum raised in due course.
