Double celebrations of St David's Day and Shrove Tuesday at Guysfield
The month of March started with excitement for the residents and staff at Guysfield. There was a chance to get involved with some arts and crafts, colouring in classic Welsh images such as the Welsh dragon and daffodils. St David's Day is a day to celebrate the patron saint of Wales, where there is a parade in Cardiff each year for the occasion.
This year St David's Day fell on Shrove Tuesday - the day that signifies the start of lent, more commonly known as Pancake Day. The residents loved tucking into their pancakes for dessert, with a big choice of toppings, a lot of chocolate was enjoyed.
