Easter fun at Homefield Grange
The residents and team at Homefield Grange Care Home enjoyed a wonderful Easter weekend with a range of activities to enjoy and a 'Name the Bunny' competition. To celebrate Easter the residents got involved in making a range of treats for all to enjoy, they got the opportunity to decorate their own eggs as well as making a range of chocolate crispy treats along with handmade sweet carrots. The baking sessions at the home are popular amongst residents as it gives them a chance to get together and work together to make a batch of sweet treats, it is a fun activity that can help with joint mobility, whilst the smell of baking can help to stimulate appetites too.
It wouldn't be Easter without an 'Easter Bunny' making an appearance and all the residents got involved in the 'Name the Bunny' competition, where they could put in what they think the bunny should be named and then Ruth the Home Manager picked the winner. Pamela was chosen as the winner who put in the name 'Albert' for the bunny and Ruth presented her with the cuddly toy to keep.
