Enhanced wellbeing programme

Julie Mason • Operations Director (New Commissions)

During this difficult period, our priority has always been, to keep our residents safe and well. We have adopted different approaches to supporting our residents as individuals and the things that are important to them. They have, as always, been at the centre of our decision making and together with residents and families, we created an enhanced Wellbeing Programme including a range of activities, from one to one activity and socially distanced group settings as well as maintaining links with our communities.

The whole home from our Care Teams and Wellbeing Coordinators to our Chefs and Administrators, have all personally been involved in introducing innovative ways to support resident’s health and wellbeing, giving them a purpose to their day as well as keeping them connected to their families. We introduced additional smart TV’s and mobile devices into Homes, enabling residents to stay in touch and enjoy a range of entertainment, culture and keep fit sessions.

We’ve had lots of variety with virtual performances from local groups, online baking and reminiscence days with a good old sing song We have been overwhelmed by all the wonderful gifts and offers of support from family members, community bodies and groups. You can see the variety of events and activities all tailored around residents’ interests, wishes and abilities both indoors and outdoors on our Homes Facebook pages and or Caring Homes’ Facebook page or contact any of our homes to find our more.

You can follow all of homes on Facebook or see some of our special moments from around our homes here.
