Gain an insight into dementia. At Whittington House in Cheltenham, we provide personalised dementia care for elderly people in a safe and friendly home. We are part of Caring Homes which has developed a unique dementia training programme, accredited by City & Guilds, for all members of their team from reception, chefs, housekeeping to care. The entire team at Whittington House receives ‘Living in My World’ training, giving them an understanding of the condition and how to make a positive impact on the people in our care.We believe everyone should have an awareness of dementia to understand what life is like for those living with the condition and understand how loved ones can be affected and supported. Now we are giving members of the public the opportunity to gain this knowledge too.On Wednesday 16th November, Whittington House is holding a FREE dementia awareness event, ‘Experience My World’ at our home.
