Fundraising at Mellish House Successfully Secures Digital Rainbow Table
The team and many supporters of Mellish House Care Home have been working together to raise funds for a Digital Rainbow Table at the home.
The Digital Rainbow Table is an interactive digital table that can deliver a fantastic portfolio of fun individual and group activities. With an app for all our residents, the table can be used along with out traditional activities, offering our residents an opportunity to engage in new, fun digital experiences.
Our fundraising kicked off earlier this year with one of our relatives – Bec, who walked 86 miles and raised over £3000, which was more than half of our target. This was followed up by several wonderful donations from residents’ relatives. Maria Caroline Mayes and Karen Ascott kindly donated in memory of their loved ones who had been residents at Mellish House. £375 was kindly donated by our local Waitrose, which was organised by a relative of one of our residents and a special mention to Violet for making the first donation and supporting us as always,
To add the remaining amount needed our lovely Senior Carer Chris Gannon and Tracey Tate, daughter of our resident Josephine, bravely threw themselves out of an airplane! They both completed their tandem skydive raising £715 towards our Digital Rainbow Table.
