Hawkhill House named finalist in Christmas card competition

Everyone at Hawkhill House Nursing Home are delighted as their design by the residents and team was chosen as a finalist in Caring Homes corporate Christmas card competition.

The distinctive and unique Christmas tree design was created using the fingerprints of the residents and staff to represent their individuality, their chosen colour represents choice and the final tree design represents unity, friendship and being a part of the the Hawkhill House family.

The final design has been professionally printed on cards to be sent out to friends and family as well as stakeholders and community contacts. The home also received a £50 Amazon voucher to congratulate them on their design which was chosen by Peter Hill (CEO).

Home Manager Mel Shearer commented “Everyone at the home is so delighted to have had our design chosen and we are looking forward to treating the residents and team with the voucher for Christmas”.

This year Caring Homes gave every home the opportunity to design and print their own card with residents, relatives and community groups getting involved.

Our homes really enjoyed getting involved in designing their own Christmas cards this year and we have had some amazing designs.

Christmas is an amazing time of year in our homes with lots going on. The festive season, with its familiar sights, sounds and smells, evokes a lot of happy memories for our residents and there is always time to talk about Christmas past as well as enjoy everything which is planned for this year.
