Homefield Grange Celebrates Platinum Jubilee
Residents and their families at Homefield Grange Care Home celebrated the Platinum Jubilee with ice cream and a party! The home was decorated for the occasion with Union Jack flags and patriotic coloured table cloths in honour of Her Majesty.
Bart, the Homefield Grange Chef surpassed himself with some amazing Jubilee themed food for the party and Home Manager Ruth, reached out to the local ice cream man and he paid a visit on the day. The residents had a fabulous time and very much enjoyed the ice cream!
Earlier this year Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. This marked her 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.
To celebrate this unprecedented anniversary, events have been taking place across the country and we thoroughly enjoyed being part of those celebrations at Homefield Grange.
One of our residents and her daughter commented “we could not stop smiling all day long, the atmosphere was exciting and happy”.
