Horsell Lodge take part in Bake for Dementia
The residents and team at Horsell Lodge Care Home took part in Bake for Dementia to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society this week. Over the weekend the team members at the home baked and some brought cakes, brownies and loafs for a bake sale for the residents, relatives and team to get involved in.
There were some marvelous creations which went down a treat with one resident saying "Can we do this everyday?". Audrey a resident at the home enjoyed a slice of chocolate fudge cake with a cappuccino, the cake was made by Daniella the Deputy Manager at the home. There were a range of sweet treats available including triple chocolate brownies, fresh cream roulades and Dundee Fruit cakes.
It was great to get involved and raise money for such a worthwhile cause. Bake for Dementia happens every year and it is a chance for people to hold an event at work, in the local community and so much more where they bake to make a difference! Whatever you bake the money raised directly helps people living with dementia by funding services, care and research.
