"Having spent 35 years in England, working mainly in the South East, I have recently returned to my native Scotland to continue my career in health and social care, which started more than a few years ago in nursing. I’ve hopefully got some good experience and knowledge to share, which I’ve gathered over the years, but I’ve also not lost the thirst to learn and the passion to be part of providing the best care and support possible. I must admit to have wanted to take a break and get to know my new home on the west coast of Scotland before looking for a new role, but I knew from the moment I saw the advert for Caring Homes that it was an opportunity not to be missed."

"I can honestly say, I’ve never had such a warm welcome to a new job, and it’s been easy to settle in. Getting to know the new rules and ways of working in care homes in Scotland has been a challenge at times, but I have had lots of help and support from everyone and I’m truly grateful to be part of such a great team.
The last couple of years have been tough for everyone, but never more so than for those working in the social care sector. I think we really can be optimistic that we have (hopefully) weathered the worst of times in the industry, and I am so looking forward to being a part of the Caring Homes future."
