Laverstock celebrate Easter
27th March 2016
To celebrate Easter this year, Laverstock held their very own Easter raffle with some delicious chocolate eggs up for grabs! All the money raised in the raffle went towards Laverstock’s ongoing garden gnome project and towards a new pool table for residents.Everyone enjoyed decorating the ‘egg tree,’ which involved painting and decorating polystyrene eggs and hanging them on a tree placed within the home. This was a fun, inclusive event which all residents really enjoyed getting involved in and some residents were exceptionally creative!Family and friends of residents were invited to take part in the day and Laverstock were pleased to see so many people. “This was a really fun day which was good for our residents’ wellbeing,” said Helen Pessell, Home Manager; “We were pleased to see so many residents and their friends and family involved. Everyone was continually smiling throughout the day – which could have had something to do with all the chocolate!”Laverstock Care Centre provides residential, specialist nursing and dementia care for up to 80 residents in a state of the art home designed to deliver the very highest standards of care.
