Laverstock’s knitted garden
It was a case of knit one, purl one, when the residents of Laverstock Care Centre created their very own ‘knitted garden’ recently.
The Knitting and Crochet Group gives members the chance to enjoy some crafty chat whilst making a creation that often takes centre stage at Laverstock.
The group is made up of residents and family members and their most recent creation proved to be a real showstopper - with knitted roses, poppies, gerberas and lilies featuring in the garden. The garden was created over the course of a few weeks and it is now on display in one of Laverstock’s communal lounge areas.
Situated on the outskirts of Salisbury, Laverstock Care Centre is a purpose-built home that provides residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 80 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
