Leprechauns and luck at Guysfield
The residents and staff at Guysfield Care Home in Letchworth were feelin' Irish this week, celebrating St Patricks Day.
Prior to the event we were busy making decorations during arts and craft sessions, it's a great way to aid recalling fond past memories of your childhood or your children's. It helped give a sense of purpose and brought a real sense of achievement, especially when they were put up around Guyfield for them.
After we decorated the home, we were made green fruit kebabs and cupcakes, carrying on the Irish theme, which followed with a party full of Irish music and dancing!
For lunch our Chef put together an Irish feast of Irish stew with cabbage mash, carrot and swede and for pudding; Irish mousse with whiskey cream. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the day and amazing time was had by all.
