Liphook and Liss Dementia Awareness Evening

15th July 2015

Tracey Stokes the Activities Coordinator at East Hill House was invited to do a talk at the local surgey's Dementia Awareness Evening for the locals of Liss. Shelly Hogg from the Mental Health Team and Julie Osbourne from the Alzheimer’s Society also spoke at the evening. Tracey spoke about the importance of Dementia Friends all over the country.

One of the residents also attended with her family as they were very interested in the subject. Over 50 members of the public attended and there were many discussions after the presentation was over.

A resident and staff member requested a Dementia Friends Session to be given on the 14th, the day before the event. They were both very interested in the informal Information session which sparked much debate afterwards.

If anyone is interested in the Dementia Friends Information Session please do ask Tracey.
