Local community visit to Sanford Nursing Home
Sanford House Nursing home in East Dereham are continually working to form ties within the local community and as part of this today the home and residents welcomed Year 7 students from the nearby Northgate High School in Dereham.
Today's initial visit was a great success, with all involved having a great time. Moving forward the residents will have a weekly visit from 2 pupils who have been chosen by their Head of Year, Mrs Graves. During their visits they will chat with the residents about their interests, families and learn about what our residents did when they were younger.
Staff from the school and home all agreed it was very beneficial for the children and residents and we are even drawing up plans for everyone to work together to improve Sanford's garden.
