MacMillan Coffee Morning at Parris Lawn
It was an honour for us all at Parris Lawn Nursing Home in Lewes to raise money for such a worthwhile cause as Macmillan Cancer Support during our annual Macmillan coffee morning fundraiser, we raised an amazing £300 at our coffee morning!
Our Lead well Being Coordinator created our very own ‘Coffee Morning Menu’ with our residents designing and decorating the colourful menus themselves, they then sat pride of place in the middle of the tables.
The menu consisted of tea, coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate and a selection of cakes and savoury bakes. With coffee and walnut cake, berry cupcakes, Victoria sponge, cheese twists and sausage rolls all on offer, all baked by our very own catering team.
Our residents had such a perfectly tasty morning, the coffee and walnut cake was most definitely our residents ‘cake of the day’ and of course there was not a crumb of leftovers.
The morning was topped of with light music and a singalong with our residents.
