Making sun catchers at Mellish

At Mellish House Care Home in Sudbury we are continuing our on-going garden project, we have started our sensory patio area and residents have been involved making homemade suncatchers to hang in this section.

Resident's placed coloured glass gems into plastic moulds, making bright and colourful designs that could sparkle and cast colours in the garden. We then poured clear Elmers glue into the moulds covering the gems and carefully placed ribbons in them before they set so they could be hung around the garden. We then just had to wait for them to set before they could see their designs in place.
