Margaret celebrates her 100th at Guysfield
We celebrated our beloved Margaret's 100th birthday this week at Guysfield Care Home in Letchworth.
Her day started off with a wonderful bubble bath and a pamper in the salon getting her nails, make up and hair done. She was wearing a brand-new outfit and when she looked in the mirror, Margaret said: "Thank you, I love it"
The conservatory was decorated with white and gold banners and balloons ready for her party later in the day. We had live entertainment which covered all of Margaret's favourite music from 50's and 60's, and everyone enjoyed singing and dancing.
The catering team laid on a beautiful birthday spread and a really impressive bespoke birthday cake, a champagne bucket (complete with prosecco) on top of a sewing kit, was ordered and made by Dorothy's Homemade Cake company.
Just when Margaret thought the things couldn't get any better, she received a card from the Queen she said:" It's going to have pride of place in my room".
Margaret was overwhelmed with the number of gifts, flowers, cards and wishes she received from her family, friends and staff from Guysfield.
To finish off the celebrations Margaret went outside to have pictures taken with her beloved son Adrian and her vintage Riley.
Happy birthday Margaret!
