Musical fun at Homefield Grange Care Home

The residents at Homefield Grange Care Home were treated to a musical performance last week when a local singer performed some musical classics as well as opera. Nicole who is local to the home had reached out as she was aware of the home and contacted them to see if she could come by for a visit and sing to the residents.

She setup her equipment in the lounge so that everyone could come along to hear her and join in as she performed a range of musical classics which the residents sang along to and then also treated them to an operatic performance which everyone found breathtaking. The residents enjoyed the performance so much with them saying "How fantastic to have something so different" and "I'm extremely excited for the next time that she comes in to see us!".

Having songs performed and music playing can have hugely beneficial effects for our residents as it reminds them of their favourite songs and is great for socialisation as they talk about the music and sing-a-long which is wonderful to be a part of. It is clear Nicole was a hit and the residents are looking forward to welcoming her back to perform some other songs for them.
