National Teddy Bear Day came to Parris Lawn
Every year the residents and care team at Parris Lawn Nursing Home in Lewes celebrate the memory of one of our favourite soft toys, The Teddy Bear.
Not only popular among children but also close to the hearts of many adults alike. Health and Wellbeing Coordinator Carol, brought in a selection of teddies for the day ensuring no one missed out on the fun.
A day of memory filled stories ensued as each resident was asked if they wanted to hold a teddy and tell us a story of a ‘Teddy Memory’ they had. A lovely selection of stories were portrayed with real love and passion. Some focused on themselves and their specific teddy from years gone by whilst others focused on memories regarding their own children and grandchildren. The stories brought smiles to all of our faces and as usual, the characters and personalities of our residents shone through and made the day a fun one.
