New games at Mellish House
At Mellish House Care Home in Sudbury we've been trying to provide more of a range of sports for our resident's interests and to help keep them active.
We have invested in two different dartboards, one is magnetic and the other electric, residents have had great fun, resident Maureen chatted to us about how her dad used to play darts and that she never tried but will have a go. Then when she scored a bullseye, she said "woohoo look at that I did it." We've also made a new game using giant playing cards laid out of the floor which involves resident's practising their maths adding scores together.
One of our residents has suggested a Badminton net so they can play our balloon bash game over it, this will be our next purchase.
