On a daily basis the residents at East Hill House all get to have some kind of CST(Cognitive Stimulation Therapy) as recommended by the National Institute of Heath and Clinical Excellence(NICE). This could anything be from board games, using the daily sparkle(Reminiscence Therapy), food tasting to word Association on a flip chart.
We also hold twice weekly OOMPH exercise sessions with music and often have sing-along's where the whole East Hill team join in with the residents. We often talk about current affairs, discussing current things on the news.
Residents and visitors also often enjoy these sessions as we make this in to a social activity and that encourages people to use their minds.East Hill House provides residential and dementia care for up to 32 elderly people and were awarded ‘Best Dementia Care Home of the Year’ at the prestigious National Dementia Care Awards in 2017.
Rated ‘Good’ by the quality inspector, CQC, we continuously improve the lives of our residents through offering wide ranging activities and events both in and outside of the home involving members of the local community as often as possible. If you would like to find out more about this event and/or life at East Hill House, please contact us on 0808 223 5501 or [email protected].[gallery columns="2" size="medium" ids="28591,28584,28590,28589"]
