Oomph mania at Mellish House
Three members of the Mellish House Care Team recently trained with ‘Oomph!’ (Our Organisation Makes People Happy) to deliver fitness classes in the home.
The Oomph exercise classes are designed to help residents increase their mobility and alertness, as well as increasing opportunities for social interaction.
Mellish House residents have been enjoying these quick chair-based exercises everywhere possible – during their downtime, during relatives’ cafes, and even in the homes’ mini bus whilst out on a trip.
Brenda, a resident at Mellish, said: “This is amazing! I love it and I’m going to get fit!”
Mellish House is purpose built home, providing residential dementia care in Sudbury. Find out more about Mellish House here.
