Our co-founder Helena Jefferey recognised in Care Talk’s Social Care Top 30 Leaders
We are delighted that our co-founder Helena Jeffery has been recognised for her excellence and leadership, as a finalist in the Social Care Top 30 which recognises influential leaders in social care.
Run by Care Talk Magazine these annual awards provide an opportunity to showcase and recognise real leadership in the sector; inspiring CEOs and key influencers and decision makers who have made a significant difference to the sector.
Whilst nearly 30 years have gone by since she founded the company with her son Paul, her principles remain the same; that whilst every home must be sustainable and successful, every resident should feel completely free to live their life to the full. A registered nurse with a passion for delivering personalised care to elderly people, Helena worked as a nursing homes Manager ahead of starting the business.
Amidst the current challenges faced by the sector, compounded by political and economic uncertainties, Helena and Paul have worked hard to ensure that as a company we never lose sight of our values. Everything we do is directed by the needs of the individuals we care for and their families; by caring for the whole person and their unique personality, likes and interests, we create better bonds, more stimulating communities, safer environments and better lives.
Vision, compassion and strong leadership has been at the heart – now reflected in Helena being recognised as a Top 30 leader.
‘This is an incredibly rewarding and humbling experience’ said Helena ‘I have worked in the care sector for more than 50 years and know full well that having a strong and supportive team behind me has been paramount. This is not just an honour for me but recognition of the huge contribution made by every single member of the Caring Homes team. It is their dedication and hard work which enables us to make a positive impact in the field of social care. This recognition provides a platform to continue engaging with a broader audience to raise awareness about important social care issues.”
The 30 finalists will be whittled down to Top 10 Finalists and an overall winner who will be announced at a ceremony in London on 12th October 2023.
